Quantity Surveyor London £40,000 to £55,000 + car & package A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on an exciting, high value infrastructure project. Based on site in South East London, the Quantity Surveyor will join an infrastructure specialist, well regarded for their expertise in delivering key projects for clients within the water, gas, energy and rail sectors. The Quantity Surveyor will play a pivotal role in the team by managing a number of subcontract packages on a £300m+ project. They will be responsible for managing their own portfolio of packages, taking them from procurement through to final account agreement. Some of the Quantity Surveyors key duties will include: Pricing & administration under both the main contract and subcontracts Management of subcontract payment notices in accordance with company processes Assist with the preparation of cost/value reconciliation reports Identify risks and opportunities Issue contractual notices and quotations in a timely manner Manage the procurement and tendering process The Quantity Surveyor will need to have previous experience delivering heavy civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities projects, ideally within a main contracting environment. They will also require a sound knowledge of the NEC contract, excellent communication skills and be commercially astute.
