Senior Engineer- civils/groundworks

Our client is a civil engineering contractor working in multiple sectors across London and the UK. They are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong groundworks, utilities and enabling works experience for a large project in the North London area. Responsibilities: * Overseeing setting out on utilities diversions, piling, basement construction and earthworks * Working with the Project Manager to implement designs and deal with issues on site as they arise * Overseeing setting out engineers working on various sections of the project and administering work to them daily * Checking all work done by these engineers to make sure it is in accordance with plans * Updating the Project Manager and stakeholders on all engineering aspects of the project Experience/Qualifications: * Degree in Civil engineering or related discipline * Strong design and setting out experience * Experience with large earthworks or enabling works projects * Strong organisational skills * Good interpersonal skills for managing setting out engineers and working with the client Excellent long term project (3 years+) for a candidate with a strong engineering pedigree. Client is flexible on salary/day rate as well for the right candidate
