Quantity Surveyor Newbury, Berkshire (Flexible Working) £40,000 to £52,000 + car & package An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor working along the M4 Corridor for Thames Water. My client is a major player within the UK's utilities and infrastructure sectors and they are highly regarded for offering their employees exposure to a wide array of different projects and clients, structured career paths, competitive salaries and continued room for personal development and progression. The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the Senior QS and Commercial Manager, supporting them with the delivery of Thames Water's Capital Delivery Framework across the Thames Valley. Some of your key duties and responsibilities will include: Working on the day to day administration of the commercial and financial parts of each project Supporting the Project Management Teams with commercial enquiries Preparing cost and value reporting Manage the procurement process including all labour, plant and materials Cost control Cash collection Subcontract management from procurement through to settlement of accountQuantity Surveyors considering this position will need to have previously worked for a main contractor or specialist subcontractor working on utilities, civil engineering or similar infrastructure projects. You'll need to have an understanding of the NEC suite of contracts, good communication skills and be happy to work across the region as required.
