Architectural Technician

We are currently working with an outstanding, award-winning Architectural practice that is located in the Cotswold, on the outskirts of Cheltenham who are on the lookout for an Architectural Technician to join them in designing a variety of high-end projects! This RIBA Practice is well-established with a close-knit team of 18 working in their barn-converted office. Due to the remote location of the practice, it is required to have a full UK driver’s licence. They adore the old-fashioned designs, but put into a modern climate, utilising the thoughtful and sensitive design. The practice has a great working environment with friendly and sociable office culture! There are great opportunities for social endeavours – weekly yoga sessions, office garden with chickens! This innovative and forward-thinking practice work on a variety of projects in the high-end residential sector! Their clients tend to be very luxurious and important people. The type of residential projects this practice work on include, new builds, conversions, listed buildings and renovations just to name a few. They are seeking an optimistic Architectural Technician that has the necessary skills to successfully contribute to award-winning designs. An ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, strong communication and management skills and have the ability to hand sketch designs. You will be given the opportunity to enhance skills across all RIBA stages and gain the opportunity to manage your own projects. Career progression is key to this practice, and they express this by playing on the strengths of their staff. Day to day responsibilities include assisting in the management of projects that vary in size and price - £300K - £5M+. Other responsibilities include liaising with clients and Senior Architects, working throughout RIBA stages 0-7 (but predominately throughout technical stages), coordinating with consultants and specialists, and demonstrating a full understanding of client expectations throughout the process.
