Gas Service Engineer

We are hiring what some people would call a Gas Service Engineer or a Commercial Heating and Plumbing Engineer to carry out installation work and servicing in all types of domestic and commercial environments. You will be working on some really exciting projects, from school fit outs and hospitals to high end country houses and estates. We're sure we we don’t need to tell you what you’ll be doing all day but let’s just say, there will be a lot of servicing and installation of heating systems and boilers (domestic and commercial), fault finding and subsequent repairs. You’ll also be meeting with sub-contractors to programme getting the work done, prepping material lists and schedules, and you even get to mentor our apprentices and show them the “right” way to do things. So who are we looking for? You’ll have an NVQ level 2 or 3 in plumbing and be gas qualified (it’s important that you have these). You don’t need to be Carol Vorderman but you’ll be great with numbers and have excellent attention to detail. Of course you’re going to be friendly and approachable with a flexible attitude, and you have a proven background of excellent customer service (you always get offered a cup of tea and a biscuit when you’re on a job). You’ll have worked in a supervisory capacity before so your knowledge of policies, processes and procedures – including safety – are comprehensive and up to date. You’ll also need a full UK Driver’s Licence, otherwise using the van will be a bit tricky!
