Job Description

The Company My clients are a very well-established main contractor operating from their offices in Bristol. They work on projects with values up to £5m covering new build, refurbishment, general construction, health care, education, commercial, heritage, and conservation sectors. Projects are typically within a 40 mile radius of Bristol. Due to their continued tendering success with both new and existing clients they are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their busy and vibrant team on a permanent basis. The Candidate You will ideally have a minimum of 2 to 3 years previous experience of working for a main contractor within quantity surveying with a varied portfolio of projects that you have been involved in previously, ideally including both new build and refurbishment. You will be diligent, computer literate, confident and have the ability to work on a smaller project as the Quantity Surveyor or as part of a team on a larger project looking after individual packages of work. My client will consider applications from people with an academic background (HNC/HND/Degree in a Quantity Surveying / construction related subject). The Role As a Quantity Surveyor you will take commercial responsibility for projects or packages of work on larger projects, your time will be split between site and the head office as required and you will report in to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, who will also offer further mentoring, guidance and supervision to enable you to progress your career.
