The Company My clients are a very well-established blue chip main contractor operating from their regional offices in Cardiff. They work on projects with values up to £10's of millions in value covering new build, refurbishment, general construction, health care, education, commercial, heritage, conservation and residential sectors. Projects are typically located in and around the Bristol area. Due to their continued success in winning work by both tendering and via Framework agreements, with both new and existing clients they are looking to recruit a Site Quantity Surveyor to join their busy and vibrant team on a permanent basis, working predominantly in and around the Bristol region. The Candidate Are you looking to join a progressive and ambitious company? if so, read on...you will already possess experience as a Quantity Surveyor managing all commercial activities on construction projects with values from £5m upwards, for a main contractor. You will have a full understanding of all quantity surveying matters from pre-construction involvement up to final account. You will have a confident and professional approach to your work and be driven by the desire to succeed and achieve greatness. The Role As a Quantity Surveyor you will take commercial responsibility for each project that you work on, with many of them coming from framework agreements, so some framework experience would be an advantage. You will have a good understanding of the processes to deliver financial success on each project but will always have the back up resources of senior team members to provide guidance where necessary. You must be able to get the best from both sub-contractors and suppliers.
