About the role and duties: * Working the total design solution specific to each project * Ensuring compliance to client’s recommendations, requirements and company procedures * Managing the project design team * Managing the design process using commercial, contractual, programme and technical expertise * Supporting, understanding and advising the client as to the requirements and his/her obligations in the development of a building design * Encouraging and inspiring the team to produce their best work * Ensuring the design process recognises current legislation, standards, and codes of practice, where appropriate * Ensuring design information is of the right quality and keeps pace with project timescales About the requirements: * Degree, HND or equivalent, design or construction related subject * Design Management experience directly for a façade sub-contractor * Thorough understanding of all relevant codes, practice and regulations * High standards of numeracy, oral and written communication skills * Ability to demonstrate organisational skills * Membership to a professional body desirable but not essential * Take ownership for their work and be able to represent the company’s interests appropriately * Good communication skills * Client facing
