Senior Estimator

Streamline Search are currently working with a Construction Company looking to hire a Senior Estimator. The company are experienced in delivering New Build, Refurbishment and Maintenance works in both the Public and Private sectors. They provide this service throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. They have an opportuning for an experienced estimator to join the company as a Senior Estimator to help continue the financial success that continues to grow year on year. The right Senior Estimator will be working with a small dynamic team and the successful person should ideally have a few years’ experience working within a similar position. The right Senior Estimator will have genuine opportunities to progress your career from within the business, any training related to your role will be provided. As a Senior Estimator you will be responsible for overseeing major tenders and have proven ability to manage complex bids from initial enquiry, all the way through to the final submission. Estimator – Position Overview * Using IT software for tendering and project management * Maintaining excellent relations with both builders, professional teams and directly with end user clients * Liaising with wholesalers and manufactures to ensure best value procurement * Issuing technical approvals of plant and materials including requests for information * Liaise with Client and Principal contractor at design and progress meetings * Interpreting drawings and specifications, undertaking material take-off’s and ordering of materials * Projects range in value from £50 to £5 million Estimator – Position Requirements * Able to manage a wide range of projects in a fast-paced environment * Able to work on their own initiative and lead a team * Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards * A good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects * Competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point * Experience in a similar estimating position * Ability to perform detailed reviews and analysis of cost plans for a wide range of projects * Capable of visualising outline designs, drawings and specification * Knowledge of the tendering process and also be capable of dealing with a wide range of cost planning issues. Estimator – Position Remuneration * Salary between £45,000 - £55,000 dependent upon experience * Car Allowance * 28 days holiday including bank holidays * Monday to Friday 8am to 5 pm * Pension Scheme * Parking on site Streamline Search are acting as a recruitment agency on behalf of this vacancy
