Lead Architect

Job: Lead Architect Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Lead Architect to work for a value housing design and build contractor with an extensive programme of works to complete in the next 5 years. At present they plan to build 600 flats in central Scotland, with more planned after that. This is a unique opportunity to join an expanding business whose focus is improving the living conditions of the people of Scotland. A competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000 plus package. The Job As the lead architect you will have the following: Experience in delivering residential architectural projects Comfort in Interfacing with clients, designers and site teams Experienced in taking on a supervisory or lead responsibility role over a group of architects or designers on large scale projects at technical delivery stage. Is confident in undertaking a QA review and approve all the work performed under his/her supervision. Responsible for ensuring compliance with all codes and standard Considerable experience in the housing industry, including supervising aspects of a project of significant scale Experience in managing project teams of junior architects and technicians of between 5-20 people A passion for design excellence, and a desire to embrace new and innovative thinking Good motivation, influencing, people management and delegation skills Outstanding communication skills and demonstrable presentation skills The Person The ideal Lead Architect will have the following: Strong background using Revit software Demonstrable experience of working in housing/residential sector Evidence of working on all RIBA stages 0-7 from inception to completion If you are an Architect looking for a new challenge, please apply attaching an up-to-date CV
