Meridian Business Support are recruiting for a Site Manager to start ASAP, based on a secure government facility near Abingdon, Oxfordshire OX14
This is permanent, full time role working Monday to Friday 8am until 4:30pm. Candidates must complete a DBS check prior to placement.
£40k salary + 25 days paid annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays + company benefits package, training and career progression.
The Site Manager will be responsible for all site works primarily focused within the secure government facility. They will establish and manage a site workforce capable of working to company standards in a safe and diligent manner, to the highest possible standard, on time and in line with predetermined costs.
Job Specification;
To comply with the SPIE Policy and Procedures.
Supervise and co-ordinate staff, sub-contractors, material suppliers and third parties to ensure an efficient method of build to the required build quality and build programme.
Scheduling work to be carried out to ensure programme targets are achieved and high quality of end product is maintained whilst keeping to budget.
Effective performance monitoring
Ensuring all aspects of CDM are strictly followed
Comply with CDM/HSE Site Managers responsibilities
At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions from Project Managers and Senior Project Manager
Liaise with end users and clients to ensure the highest possible customer care satisfaction and complete all relevant inspections and documentation.
Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage to ensure staff and sub contractors are fully motivated to achieve the best performance
Contribute to improving the business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and implementing change.
Ensure all site specific Health & Safety regulations are monitored and adhered to, company policy is followed and undertake investigations into failings where necessary
Comply with client contract and procurement policies where appropriate
Provide regular reports in alignment with the contract reporting requirements
Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
Person Specification;
Ability to manage small works to medium sized projects up to £3m
Enthusiastic and self motivated
Strong knowledge of building methods and regulations.
Experienced in managing and developing the on-site team
Flexible approach to working as part of a team
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a challenging workload
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in IT systems and software applications
Problem-solving skills
Decision-making ability
Commercial awareness
Conflict Management skills
Qualifications & Experience
Desired Experience Profile;
Strong knowledge and experience of building fabric and M&E works/systems
Excellent knowledge of the current CDM regulations and Principal Contractor role
Awareness of asbestos, legionella and fire safety regulations
Technical report writing experience
Excellent technical knowledge
Desired Qualifications;
CIOB or equivalent in Construction Management
SMSTS
