Quantity Surveyor

Job title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Basildon Salary: £33.92 Per Hour Job type: Temp to Perm Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm Our client is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with heavy residential and social housing project experience. You will be required to assist with the Development and Implementation of all pre and post contract strategies, commercial functions, contract reporting on delegated projects and work packages. Duties & responsibilities: Ensure that all main contract and sub contract processes are regularly and diligently complied with. Promote compliance with our client's policies on site. Show awareness of our clients internal and customer objectives and plans appropriately for changing circumstances. Initiate creative and practical ideas that will enhance own project customer relations impact, and develop with your line manager. Produce monthly CVR reports, cash flow forecasts. Process monthly payment and & certifications, prepare and administer external valuations. Make good quality decisions and understand the importance of good commercial management and maximise opportunities. Person specification: HNC/HND/BScHons (or working towards a BScHons) in Quantity Surveying or similar. Commercial skills, maximising recovery, cost control and cash management. Good interpersonal skills - ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to use and understand financial reports and final accounts. Full UK license with access to a vehicle.
