Sustainability + Energy Consultant London Permanent Up to £40k (dependent on experience) A leading sustainability, energy and building services design consultancy is looking for a Sustainability + Energy Consultant to join their London team. Their sustainability services include the provision of a full range of environmental assessment methods for both new and existing developments, BREEAM (including In-Use), Home Quality Mark, CEEQUAL, WELL, FitWel and Building with Nature. They also undertake Whole Life Cycle Assessments, which feeds into their strategies for achieving Net Zero. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team working on a diverse range of projects across a variety of different sectors including Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare and Retail, both in the UK and internationally. This is a wide-ranging role providing the opportunity to work on building physics, Net-Zero strategies, ESG, BREEAM and whole life cycle carbon assessments. In this position you will receive continual support from senior members of staff, along with access to a fantastic in-house training programme, allowing you to continue your professional development. Some of the key responsibilities for this role include: Planning-Stage Energy & Sustainability Reports Net-Zero Strategies (UKGBC Framework) ESG Site Acquisition Reviews Dynamic Simulation Modelling (TM52, TM59, TM54, Daylight) SAP & SBEM Energy Modelling Life Cycle Assessment BREEAM Support For this role you will: Have 1-2 years' experience in a similar energy & sustainability role. Good knowledge of energy & sustainability related statutory legislation, standards, and drivers in the construction industry. Good knowledge of regulatory and dynamic simulation modelling (e.g. SAP, DesignBuilder, TAS, DesignBuilder). Good knowledge of environmental assessment methods (e.g. BREEAM, WELL & Home Quality Mark). Good knowledge of Life-Cycle Assessment and its application in the built environment. Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, good communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
