Mechanical Estimator
Avolon M&E are working with a leading M&E Contractor who have a fantastic opportunity as a Mechanical Estimator.
Duties that will be included within the role but not limited to:
- Head up the estimating / pre contract department
-Preparation of tenders / tender presentations
-Breakdown client enquiries
-Sending out enquiries for all required materials and liaising with specialist sub- contractors to ensure compliance with the tender documents
-Measure/Assess quantities and prepare schedules if required
-Prepare detailed Mechanical estimates
- Support and help to implement the company growth strategy
- Support Project Managers with variations and final accounts
- After tender submission ensure all tenders are chased and all directors and managers are kept informed of the bid prospects
- To work with and maintain the existing company estimating department procedures.
Skills required:
-Ability to meet & exceed targets
- At least 5-year experience as an Estimator
- Full Mechanically biased
- Experience using the Ensign estimating package - advantageous
- Self-motivating attitude
- Ability to work alone
