Estimator

Our client is a well established and rapidly expanding building contractor that have grown year on year throughout the region over the past 20 years or so. Carrying out a range of building and refurbishment projects up to £25million, they work with a range of public and private sector clients across the South West predominantly. Due to ongoing growth they have approached us with the requirement to recruit an Estimator to join their team. * Splitting Specifications, Bill of Quantities, Drawings etc. into trades (suppliers and subcontractors) * Issuing enquires and ensuring that work is prioritized to follow up on enquiries to ensure delivery * Update, audit and maintain the Database (i.e. adding supplies and subcontractors) to ensure that all customer information is up-to-date and relevant. * Manage incoming quotations, carrying out cost and quality comparisons to ensure that the information we provide meets client’s expectations. * Dealing with queries from sub contractors and suppliers appropriately, during and after the Tender submission, to ensure that a professional customer focused service is provided. * Leading and effectively managing the tender submission by providing all Form of Tenders, Tender Letters etc. * Working alongside Estimating Manager/Commercial Manager to determine preliminaries costs and overheads on Tenders. * Meeting new suppliers and sub-contractors to negotiate on costs to ensure competitive tender submission. * Dealing with successful tenders and handing over appropriate information to the commercial and site This role carries excellent long term career prospects and the incumbent will have the opportunity to move into a more senior role eventually. The role would suit an Assistant or Intermediate level estimator who is capable of working efficiently and effectively on such projects or a Senior looking for a change.
