Job Description

ROLE TITLE- Street Lighting Patroller ROLE PURPOSE To undertake Night and Day inspection of Lighting asset ACCOUNTABILITIES * Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm * Identify defects QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE The following qualities/experience are essential: * Able to clearly communicate clearly * Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours / nights / weekends * Able to work on own under instruction, capable of taking ownership of tasks * Holds a current driving license * Be confident in using IT systems for fault reporting * Must be a good team player * Have a keen eye for detail and identifying defects * Be able to walk day patrol routes Outline tasks: 1. DRIVE/WALK defined streets as allocated to your patrol for the evening, with vehicle suitably liveried and insured for Highways business usage 2. OBSERVE ALL Client Health & Safety guidance provided at induction or at any later date, particularly logging on to SAFESHORE lone working solution and Risk Assessing situations as they arise 3. Report any 'Near Miss' safety situations or positive observations by downloading the Client Observations App (Available on Android and Apple App Stores) 4. IDENTIFY DEFECTS on lighting apparatus. These are ALL to be recorded on the Android tablet provided irrespective of severity. 6. Sign off against each street (on Tablet) to provide an electronic signature confirming that you have inspected all the identified assets plotted against the street and shown on the tablet. 7. Synchronise tablet at the end of the shift to send the faults back to the office 8.
