Buildings Maintenance Technician

Building Maintenance Technician - Joinery / Plumbing Harrogate area £24-27k pa Temp contract with opportunity of a permanent role Buildings Maintenance Technician with a joinery or plumbing bias required for a domestic and commercial contact in the Harrogate area. They role will encompass PPM work, repairs and general buildings maintenance encompassing joinery, plumbing, small building works, plastering and painting and decoration. The role is available immediately on a temporary basis and may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate. As the Building Maintenance Technician, you will: Maintain and repair works to domestic and commercial environments Ensure work in carried out within budget and to a high quality level Maintain good health and safety on site Order and monitoring of materials Work with a range of hand tools and equipment Record and monitoring of supplied equipment as necessary Undertake joinery, plumbing, plastering, decorating, timing, fitting of bathrooms and kitchens and basic building works Outsource and organisation of work with specialist contractors where necessary As the Building Maintenance Technician you will: Be fully trained and qualified within joinery or plumbing ideally hold NVQ Level 3 qualification, a full apprenticeship or be time served within joinery or plumbing Hold a full cleaning driving licence Have your own hand tools, impact drivers, saws etc. Have confident general building and maintenance experience cross a number of trades if possible Be computer literate Be well presented, personable and professional Work to a high level of quality with a confident understanding of costing and budgets Be health and safety aware Be able to read basic construction drawings Be able to plan and record your workload and monitor material use / spend Call Yasemin at Travail on (phone number removed) to arrange an immediate interview Travail Employment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy
