CAD Technician

Arup are currently looking for Civil Engineer Technician to join to join an existing strong project team of about circa 40 Civil Engineers and Technicians who work as part of the ISA framework with over 300 other Engineers, Scientists and Technicians working on other projects. On behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Civil Engineer Technician for a 6 Month contract based in Warrington Essential Skills and Qualifications: General Civil Engineering Design Working in regulated industry (preferably Nuclear Sector) Delivering Utilities related projects Working in a design and build environment Working with others carrying out civil engineering design. Use of AutoCAD packages for design. Checking the quality and accuracy of own work. Able to work well both within a team and independently Prefers collaborative approaches to finding solutions Good communication skills, written, spoken and also via drawing / sketches Working with Clients and Customers and colleagues to generate mutual agreeable outcomes. Mentoring the development of younger engineering technicians within the team. Holds baseline security clearance (or higher) Desirable Skills and Experience: Ability to gain baseline security clearance, if not already held (will be able to work towards this within the organisation or prior to commencement of contract) Proficient in use of AUTOCAD At least 3 years suitable experience within the field of civil engineering Good communication skillsDiversity at Arup: Arup's goal is to shape a better world.
