Design coordinator, North East London Our client is well-established contractor seeking a suitable candidate for the position of Design Coordinator in a North East London office. Recognised for their sustainable approach to home building, they focus on high quality design and specialise in new build, refurbishment and social housing projects across London. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Co-ordinating the design information supplied to construction and operation divisions. Advising on the cost effectiveness of methods of construction Managing the preparation of the design programme and monitoring progress throughout the design and construction phases Resolving potential design issues Manage the development of Contractor's proposals for Design and Build projects ensuring compliance is met The Design Coordinator will oversee the design and construction of 48 new homes, a commercial unit and associated infrastructure. Candidates will need to have a proven ability to deliver schemes of this scale from inception to completion. Ideal candidates will come from a contractor, developer or architectural background preferably with design and build experience. Suitable individuals will be architecturally qualified and have a relevant design accreditation.
