2 X Signalling Principle Designers needed - Remote Working
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
· All-round underpinning knowledge of signalling design principles, standards, components, and fabrication methods.
· Advanced knowledge of railway systems, (and the key interactions between other railway assets), and with railway operating practices.
· Responsible for Signalling packages of work on multi-disciplinary projects.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
· Hands-on experience of the production and verification of signalling design throughout GRIP stages 2 to 5 and calculations. Other railway design experience within the rail industry will be an advantage.
· Significant experience in the use of signalling software packages (Plans, Gwire, etc) will be an advantage.
· Knowledge of RRI or Mechanical or SSI systems, ideally all three. Basic knowledge of the design of other systems or Data Prep. would be an advantage.
· Experience of signalling construction methods and installation would be a benefit.
Qualifications:
· IRSE Licence 1.1.550 Signalling Principles Designer
· IRSE Licence 1.1.160 Signalling Design Verifier would be an advantage
· Ideally, a member of the IRSE
· Appropriate National Certificate (NC) or Higher qualification would be a benefit
