Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading and highly respected M&E Building Services contractor based in the Banbridge area who provide Mechanical and Electrical services from design through to installation and commissioning, with typical contract values ranging from £100k up to £3m. The Role:- To take the lead role in the preparation of mechanical designs for commercial heating plantrooms and prefabricated products for the high-rise residential, Healthcare, Education, Hotel and Leisure sectors. Day to day you will be sizing, selecting and performing calculations as well as undergoing site surveys for a range of sectors as well as liaising with our fabrication team to make sure products are being fabricated to the specification. Working in conjunction with an established design team who operate with the latest AutoCAD & MEP 3D design packages. Key skills and experience required…. * Degree Level in Mechanical Engineering / Building services or similar * Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer * Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead and motivate others * Experience in similar role for either contractor or consultancy * Excel at problem solving and working through technical challenges * Excellent communication skills both verbal and written * Excellent organisation, planning and attention to detail * Ability to work under pressure on own initiatives to achieve self and team targets Salary and Benefits * Base salary: £48,000 - £52,000 (negotiable depending on experience) * Private Healthcare * Life Assurance * Excellent Pension Scheme * Company Events * Generous Holiday entitlement * The company also offer a very enjoyable working environment, as well as genuine career progression opportunities.
