Assistant Estimator

Assistant Estimator required by reputable regional civil engineering contractor on a permanent basis. Abatec is a recruitment agency assisting a civil engineering client that is well established in the South West. Our client is involved in various highways schemes and are looking to add to their established team. As an Assistant Estimator you will: Be working in a supportive environment as part of a dynamic team responsible for preparing multi-million-pound tenders. Analyse drawings and produce take off's and bills of quantities Prepare and send out tender enquiries to supply chain and review quotations received Help build up an accurate cost estimate for the works and assist with preparing the commercial tender for submission to the Client. Our client requires an Assistant Estimator with: A degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar. Experience of working for a civil engineering contractor. Excellent communication skills.
