Technician (Concrete) Breedon is a leading construction materials group in Great Britain and Ireland. We operate two cement plants and around 80 quarries, 40 asphalt plants, 170 ready-mixed concrete plants, nine concrete and clay products plants, four contract surfacing businesses, six import/export terminals and two slate production facilities. Position: Technician Location: Andover, Andover, Theale and Eysey Manor Job type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £Competitive About the role: We currently have a great opportunity for a Concrete Technician. You will cover at various locations, including Andover, Theale and Eysey Manor. You will be responsible for carrying out concrete and screed product compliance testing so that we meet product specifications, satisfy customers and operate as cost effectively as possible. You will record test results and work with production colleagues to ensure that corrective action is taken when needed. Your key duties will include: Carrying out product sampling and testing in line with procedures and BSEN standards. Advising Management/Supervisor/Production colleagues when quality standards are being compromised and instigate action to rectify or prevent noncompliance. Proactively advising on where material changes are possible that will bring benefit to the business (product improvements or cost savings). Compliance with the company’s health and safety policies and promoting a high standard of safety awareness at all times. About you: You should have working knowledge of concrete and screed products and testing procedures, and strong IT skills. A full driving licence is essential for you to be considered for this role, as you will be required to drive a company van.
