Clerk of Works Nottingham £28,963 - £34,769 per annum Full Time (35 hours per week) Our client, founded in 1973, is committed to providing and managing housing for people in need, offering vital care and support services. They manage over 9,500 homes, house more than 20,000 people and employ approximately 1,200 colleagues in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland. They provide care and support for the most vulnerable people in society, covering mental health, learning disabilities, domestic abuse, vulnerable young people, homelessness and older persons. In partnership with 19 local authorities, they build new affordable homes to meet local needs. This includes homes for sale, rent, shared ownership and ‘try before you buy’ schemes. Over the next five years, they are looking to increase the number of homes that they manage to over 10,000 whilst maintaining their care and support business. Do you want to be part of a team directly responsible for providing much needed affordable new homes for people in need? Their Architect Team helps to deliver the construction of hundreds of new affordable homes across the East Midlands each year. They are looking for an Aftercare Surveyor / Clerk of the Works to join their team to help them to deliver new homes on behalf of the business and their other clients, to ensure they are constructed to agreed contract specifications and to the highest quality. This role will also ensure that the handover of new homes from the contractor to the client runs smoothly and that any aftercare issues that arise are dealt with swiftly and effectively on behalf of residents. This role demands substantial experience of working on construction sites and preferably housing construction sites.
