Senior Electrical Design Engineer

This role would suit an ambitious and evolving Electrical Design Engineer from a building services background who is open to bringing new ideas and developing their career. Responsibilities: * Reporting to the Director on the progress of current projects * Design and project management of electrical services for large scale housing, mixed use, commercial and hospitality projects from start to finish * Checking work is being completed to the design specification and ongoing attendance at client and contractor meetings * Attending electrical meetings and producing work in progress reports * Assessment of material submittals and site inspection * Manage and deliver a number of current challenging projects the company have taking place at present and ones that are due to come on stream shortly * Working as part of multidisciplinary team of professionals * Offering technical advice and design expertise to the team and assisting junior members Requirements: * Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services & Design * Third level qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering * 8 years or more relevant experience, ideally in a design consultancy environment * Knowledge & experience of current Design Guides, Building Regulations, EN Standards and IEC Standards. * Experience in Dialux & Amtech. * Experience of client, vendor & contractor interaction & management. * Proactive, with the ability to work well with others in a multifunctional project team * Excellent attention to detail.
