Quantity Surveyor A small to medium sized housebuilder specialising in new homes and restoration projects in Northampton are looking for a Quantity Surveyor. They are busy and currently have 650 units across all sites either live or coming up They are a financially secure family run developer who work within a 40 minute radius of Northampton and who will offer you autonomy in your role The office is in the centre of Northampton and you will be site and office based (client isn’t adverse to home working) They are looking to recruit a fulltime QS who can join a small and friendly team of Construction experts to deliver the programme. Independent and able to work under pressure the successful candidate will be a welcomed addition to the team. You will predominantly be predominantly working on new build housing schemes Salary + Package - dependent on experience Job description : * Initial feasibility studies * Ensuring materials are suitable for the environment * Negotiating costs * Monitoring site progress & works * Managing site budget - build cost/rates * Site take offs - tender packages * Place & issue sub-contractor orders best suited to budget & programme requirements * To liaise with Company Management and provide all necessary forecast and site budget information to meet the business’s reporting requirements * Issue Payment Withhold Notices, where a contractor application, or part thereof, is in dispute in accordance with Construction Act. * Agree and process all Sales Variation requests Salary and package negotiable - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays The right person You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor with new build housing experience You will be dynamic and hands on Please contact Sally at Supply Technical or send a full CV to apply Housing / Residential / Developer / Northampton / Northamptonshire / Quantity Surveyor
