Permanent Construction Foreman / Surfacing Site Foreman Management Carpenter

Job Description

Due to a robust client base and relatively unaffected order book in the current climate, this well-established building contractor are looking to add a Working Foreman to their operational team. They specialise in internal fit out and refurbishment works, with projects ranging in value from c£20k to c£1m. This position will see you as number one on site operationally looking after health and safety on site as well as ensuring the quality of the work. You will be responsible for the site diary, deliveries and site program in addition to managing any direct staff or sub-contractors on site. Ultimately driving the site to a practical completion in a safe way ensuring the client are pleased with the process and completed project. Support and training can be provided if this is your first supervisory position. The most important qualities to possess at application stage are a common-sense approach, good communication skills and a solid trade background with good overall construction knowledge. You will most likely come from a carpentry background, or be a Carpenter at present looking to move into site management. You will need to hold a valid CSCS card and ideally First Aid at Work and SMSTS or SSSTS certificates.
