Permanent Construction Civil Engineer Project Manager Management

Job Description

Our client are a leading Construction business operating in the Highways and Civil Engineering space. They are looking for a Project Manager to join their succesful team. Main Purpose Reports to the Highways Director & Operations Manager Responsible for operational performance across highways sites, ensuring projects meet business planSize and scope: Typically, responsible for revenue of up to £12m and typically manages headcount of up to 75 people Responsibilities Operations Overseeing Site Operations Ensure project is meeting the projected targets Manage work schedules Work Closely with the Core staff & Operations Manager to Ensure fleet and plant are safe/legal & reliable vehicles and are available to the teams Ensure Plant Efficiency is Optimised Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards Attend Regular Meetings with H&S Team Identify Areas of Work Which Require Updated Risk Assessments & Method Statements Propose Recruitment to Highways Directors Promote Training for Operatives Who Can Increase the Skillset of The Workforce Undertake internal audits (E20's) Driving Performance Input into Weekly Programme Forecasts Advise on Buildability Carry out Toolbox talks Ensure permits are produced (if contract requires)Customer/Market Understand client requirements Support and implement a culture of customer centricity Develop Relationships with Clients, Sub Contractors and SuppliersPeople/Organisation Lead, manage, motivate and engage all staff to optimize their contribution to the business Ensure that all team members operate according to King Construction's principles and standards Ensure teams have a consistent understanding of systems and processes Support and reflect King Construction's culture within the business Ensure a culture of compliance within the business Promote a 'Can Do Culture'Person Spec Qualifications HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil Engineering/Construction (Desirable) National Vocational Qualifications (Desirable) 5 years' minimum experience within highways or civil engineering Appropriate CSCS (Required) SMSTS (Desirable)Skills Basic Understanding on NEC3 contract requirements Able to make and be accountable for decisions within the project Customer relationship management Programme management Ability to understand commercial impact to projects Resource management
