Yard Person

Our client a major operator in the growing telecoms sector are looking for a Stores Person/Yard Operative to work at their depot in Ockley. Member of a team that is responsible for: • Controlling and recording the receipt and issue of all materials in the yard • Keeping the stock safe and in good condition • Keeping the yard tidy and well organised • Maintaining a high level of Health and Safety, and in accordance with company policy Duties Unload vehicles bringing materials to the yard, check materials against documentation, and store material according to agreed processes • Load vehicles collecting materials from the yard, checking materials against relevant documentation • Ensure all materials movement documents are passed to the administration team promptly • Be alert to, and prevent or report, unauthorised removal of materials or plant from the yard • Keep the yard secure, and prevent or report unauthorised access • Dispose of yard waste according to agreed policy • Keep all materials safe and in good condition. Look for ways to improve the way that materials are stored to promote swift materials movements, prevent damage, and support health and safety Candidates must have a current in date FLT certificate/Licence In return our client offer escellent salary and benefits
