Construction Planner

Title: Construction Project Planner – Main Contractor Sector: Commercial, Healthcare, Complex Construction Projects Location: Surrey Salary: £65K - £75K + Package Aylin White have been instructed exclusively by a leading reputable main contractor with strong business across multiple disciplines. This multi-award-winning company have a strong reputation in the market and offers the opportunity to work on multi-million pounds prestigious and landmark projects. They are currently delivering a few mixtures of projects from small to large scale units within the commercial, healthcare, education and prestigious complex projects sectors and are looking for an experience candidate to join the established team. They are seeking an experienced Construction Project Planner with hands on and proactive approach as well as good knowledge of the full construction life cycle. Ideally the candidate will also have experience in sectors including; commercial, healthcare, education or complex projects. To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Construction Planner with effective communication skills and solid experience working on new build projects of up to £30 million Plus. Responsibilities * You will be working closely with the commercial and production teams to ensure the programme is delivered on time and on budget. * Have a proactive approach and working collaboratively with internal and external teams. * Ability to develop baseline programs, monitoring and updating progress reports, plus reviewing programs in existence. * Monitoring of KPI’s and production of weekly/monthly dashboards and reports. * Developing of medium and short-range programmes in conjunction with trade contractors and package managers. * Managing change instructions, demonstration of change impacts cause and effect and development of mitigation options. * Developing construction KPI’s and reporting regime. * Output monitoring and metrics-based reporting. * Ensuring validation of trade contractor progress reporting. Requirements Your knowledge, skills and experience will include: * Minimum 5 years of UK based construction planning experience in either healthcare, commercial, education or complex construction projects * Experience in NEC forms of contract * Driven and highly motivate planner * An appreciation for new build projects valued at over £30m within a main contracting construction environment. * Proficiency with the main planning software packages such as Primavera and Asta Power. * Excellent communication skills. * Good client facing and listening skills. * Good decision-making skills. Qualifications * A relevant degree qualification in construction or engineering * Membership of a relevant professional body and/or have a CPD established to attain membership.
