Setting Out Engineer

We have an opportunity, on the outskirts of Cardiff, for an experienced Setting out Engineer working for a well-established family-run construction company, who specialise in refurbishment, civil & institutional, frameworks, conservation, education, and new build projects. You will be required to start on Monday 14th September – for three full days work, and you MUST have your own equipment !!! As an experienced setting out engineer you will need to hit the ground running with experience of ‘as build’ surveys, grid lines and updating drawings accurately. This project involves structural alterations, new roof structures and internal refurbishment of existing buildings Key roles & responsibilities: * Able to carry out all necessary setting out correctly and accurately * Must have your own setting out equipment – ideally robotic. * Strong communication skills * Experience of setting out gridlines, as build surveys and updating drawings. * Ensure all work progresses in compliance with H & S procedures * 3 years plus experience of busy construction sites. * CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS * Recognised, relevant qualification * Within commutable distance of Cardiff Benefits: * Competitive rate of £27-£28 per hour - with own equipment * Freelance opportunity three days in total – which could lead to future work with this company * Location – Cardiff * Weekly pay.
