Job Description

Key Responsibilities: * Working alongside a larger team on a science and health projects * Cost modelling, preparation of cost estimates, budgets, cost planning, monitoring and control cost, as well as cost research. * Tender Submissions which include preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders, review of terms and conditions. * Contract administration through preparation of monthly valuations, variations control, arranging for payment, contract administration and preparation and assessment of claims if require. * Produce and manage procurement schedule in line with project programme deliverables * Maintaining technical knowledge and understanding. * Providing feedback for new and effective systems and controls for the business. * Positively reacting to change and assisting in its implementation in the business. * A track record of successful procurement. * Complete Subcontractors requisitions and obtain all necessary approvals. * Produce estimates for internal resources, for team to review * Administration of internal resources (labour / plant / materials) and costs * Produce quarterly forecast based on Project team delivery strategy * Produce and submit Final account agreements (internal & external) Skills & Experience: * Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Commercial activities * Flexible working arrangements and location * Track record of exceeding business targets and KPIs * Ability to identify and resolve problems at an early stage * Working towards becoming member of relevant professional institution, e.g. Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) * Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
