Yard Operative

Title: Yard operative Department: Yard Reports to: Yard & Facilities Manager Location: Complete Utilities, Maisemore, Gloucester, GL2 8HR. Role purpose: Carry out manual tasks with the yard area, and assist in all aspects of the Yard processes as required. Person specifications: Reporting directly to the Yard & Facilities Manager you will be working within a small team and would be expected to work on your own iniitative. You must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, capable of working within a team and able to demonstrate a proactive attitude and commitment to health and safety. Roles and Responsibilities: To abide by and promote health and safety, ensuring all approved policies and procedures are followed and reporting of any issues Follow all instructions regarding the correct operation of the yard Manual handling of stock within the yard. Manage all the different bays and material stores Assist in all areas of the Yard where required Ensure storage and supply of stock is safe, secure and inline with procedures Ensure all daily checks are completed and documented on equipment before use Ensure all required PPE is worn at all times Ensure the depot and work area is kept clean and tidy Undertaken any other tasks as and when required. Additional Tasks Carry out any other duties that can reasonably be requested from time to time within the skills, training and experience required for this position
