Handy Person

Our client has a vacancy for a temporary Handy Person in Batley. Manual Duties will include, but are not exclusive to keeping the business centres clean and tidy, including grounds maintenance, internal and external work, building checks and emergency repairs. You will need to understand and comply with health and safety practices. A full and valid driving licence is essential, and use of your own car is preferable. Mileage Allowance will be paid. Other specific requirements for this post: • Previous Handy-person/DIY experience or related trade experience • Ability to carry out basic cleaning and maintenance tasks, ie plumbing, mechanical repair, replace door handles, light tubes plugs and fuses. • Awareness of health and safety considerations • Experience and ability to deal sensitively with the public/customers • A standard of literacy to be able to read written instructions and procedure notes, take messages and report incidents. • Ability to travel between different work locations • Willingness to work flexibly to accommodate on demand services To work Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm with an early Friday finish a total of 37 hours a week Pay rate £9.36 per hour in addition you will accrue holiday pay This position is being advertised on behalf of Jark Bradford Ltd Technical & Engineering Division who operate as an employment business.
