Residential Duty Manager We have an excellent opportunity within a public sector organisation for a facilities professional with experience in Facilities Management. We require a residential duty manager with experience of managing a team to take on the challenge of running the soft services via their teams across different buildings. The ideal candidate will: Supervise a team of staff across a number of buildings to oversee the day-to-day running of soft facilities including but not limited to: basic caretaking, maintenance, cleaning, portering and reception duties to ensure a comprehensive service is provided. They will will assist in the management of all resources of Residential Services in such a way as to ensure the service's budget is met and if possible exceeded. Ensure team members carry out all work at the appropriate times and in line with SLAs, by compiling rotas and work schedules allocating tasks to cover all required duties and making sure individuals are clear about their tasks and have the necessary materials and training to do so. The post holder will also be required to cover the work of any team member who is absent where necessary. Plan and oversee periodic maintenance activities but not be limited to: reactive lamping (replacing light bulbs), minor repairs to furniture, surfaces and decorations, re-securing toilet seats, fixing sink plugs and chains, requiring the use of basic tools and equipment. Ensure all materials are used in an effective and economic way, dealing directly with inappropriate use or waste and reporting on any discrepancies in stock levels. Quality check the work carried out by all team members in all areas of the building by carrying out routine inspections and auditing, completing check sheets and providing regular reports to demonstrate all KPIs are being achieved in line with the SLAs.
