Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Buildspace UK's client are an established main contractor specialising in interior fit-out, refurbishment and construction services for some of the UK's leading blue-chip clients. Having had a record-breaking year, they are now looking to bolster the commercial team and bring in an Assistant QS. They are a growing, forward thinking contractor with plenty of career growth opportunities. They have a strong track record in dealing with work ranging from bespoke projects through to major works, managing multiple fast track programmes with a consistently high level of focus and attention to detail, ensuring that projects are always delivered on time and to budget. Responsibilities will include: - Overseeing cost-analysis and estimating process against an agreed Schedule of Rates. - Assisting on all financial matters. - Procurement of sub-contract works. - Procurement of supply items - Preparation of interim valuations. - Managing interim payments to sub-contractors. - Regular updating and managing cash flow forecasts - Pricing of contract variations. Experience required: - Experience as Quantity Surveyor working on construction, refurbishment or fit out projects - Degree in Quantity Surveying - Good attitude, willing to work as part of a team.
