Senior Quantity Surveyor

A leading construction business are looking to urgently recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Infrastructure division. The role will be working on a Highways project in the Coventry area and will be responsible for the commercial management and success of this major road scheme. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will also carry out financial and contractual administration on the contract with the aim to optimise cash flow. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for: Setting profitability targets with the team, developing procurement strategy, and regularly producing financial progress reports Timely procurement, negotiation, and administration of subcontracts in accordance with procurement strategy Securing the best possible (value and timing) payments from the client in order to maximise cash flow. Ensuring that payments are applied for and received in accordance with the contract Making sure that the client is always aware of company financial and commercial expectations Ensuring that all necessary insurances, bonds, guarantees etc are in place. Ensuring the timely release of bonds and retention monies Production of CVCs, Cash flow, and End Day Forecasts, and ensure that all are kept in line with targets and project strategy Monitoring progress against programme (including subcontractors) in support of the site management Undertake preparation and agreement of internal and external valuation/final account to ensure recovery of full entitlement in accordance with the contractThe successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have: A working knowledge of NEC form of contracts Ideally will have worked on road programmes in a previous role Preferably Degree HNC/HND minimum.
