Getting stuck in. A phrase which in this case means getting out to site, measuring up, meeting with the gangs, sorting out the payments. The love of getting stuck in can sometimes be lost when you've been surveying for a while, and sitting in a nice cosy office sounds much better. And if it has, that's fine, but this job isn't for you. You're going to be a hands-on QS. You'll be working projects up in Leeds initially but this contractors catchment are is anywhere from Coventry to Leeds and back down to the East Midlands. You'll be looking at anywhere up to £50k, but that is entirely based on where and what you've been doing, as always.
