Contracts Manager

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineering Contracts Manager to join an established sub-contractor to deliver roads & sewers and plotworks packages to housing developers across the region. The Company They have been in the industry over 30 years and have a head office located in South Yorkshire. Current sites are all regional - mostly between Sheffield and Leeds. The Role You will take responsibility for managing and developing client relationships, developing programmes of work, checking of RAMS to ensure Site Managers are working effectively, overseeing the commercial aspects on site (with the aid of Quantity Surveyors etc.) and reporting the sites progress to Directors on a regular basis. You will also have involvement in procuring and managing specialist subcontractors when needed. Managing multiple sites from day one - you will be responsible for procurement of staff and materials and be involved in sites from tender to completion. Must have’s - Experience managing multiple civil engineering/groundworks jobs over £800k package value. - Experience of managing full schemes for groundworks sub-contractors in a housing setting. - Experience of s278 works, s38 works, roads & sewers, plotworks and all associated groundworks. Remuneration Salary of up to £70,000 is on offer alongside a competitive package including company vehicle or allowance, fuel card, generous annual leave entitlement and pension scheme.
