Structural Engineer

We are recruiting for a new position for an experienced Structural Engineer for a company based in Newark. The successful candidate will be working on a wide variety of interesting projects across the UK, including the design of building structures, earth retaining structures, flood defences, etc. as well as carrying out structural inspections and writing reports. You will need to have full UK driving licence and own transport to travel to sites. Degree educated in civil or structural engineering and be either a Chartered Engineer or an Incorporated Engineer with membership of the ICE or IStructE, with several years of post-qualification experience in the UK construction industry. We are looking for a candidate that - Has experience of working in a variety of sectors as we typically undertake residential, commercial, industrial, education, energy, leisure, retail and heritage projects for both private and public sector clients. Proficient in the structural design of buildings using all common construction materials and have experience of designing in accordance with British Standards and Eurocodes. Proficient in the use of modern 3D analysis and design software and preferably be AutoCAD literate (experience with Revit would also be beneficial but is not essential). Have good IT and communication skills, be able to liaise closely with clients, contractors and other professionals Ideally have with some experience of managing small groups of engineers and technicians.
