Job Description

We are looking for a Plant and Materials Coordinator to join our Design and Build team based in our Warrington office. The role will be responsible for managing the materials and plant operational requirements by ensuring that all materials and plant are ordered and available as per scheduled works. The Role: • Manage and continuously improve the material and plant ordering processes. • Ensure all Operations teams have the materials required in a cost effective and timely manner. • Manage the company approved plant suppliers including understanding their on/off hire requirements. • Manage the company supply chain partners, understanding their lead times and delivery schedules. • Utilise the ordering processes to help the Company achieve maximum efficiencies, across material and plant. • Raise and issue purchase orders for hire of plant and equipment for jobs • Manage, control, and minimise financial impact caused through damage losses to plant and equipment and co-ordinate resolution to any plant breakdowns and damage with hire companies. What we are looking for • Understanding of utility/ construction sector • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well in a team and equally on own initiative with proactive approach to all aspects. • Problem solving and negotiation skills to ensure maximum efficiency and cost value • IT literacy and ability to use computer packages to area of work. Numerate and accurate when working with figures. • Flexible and willing to adapt to new tasks and duties. • Organised, methodical approach to work with excellent time management skills.
