Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developer

Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developer Basingstoke Salary up to £45,000 + Package Blaymires Recruitment is working with a respected residential developer based near Basingstoke who is searching for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. You will be joining a Developer who builds beautiful houses and apartments that can range from 15 to 100 units per site. The successful candidate will report to the Senior QS and support the construction team on all aspects of Quantity Surveying. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years’ experience in the same role for a Residential Developer. Main duties: * Understanding of architectural and structural drawings. * Measurement. * Prepare tender package. * Send out invitations to tender to sub-contractors. * Cost comparison, negotiating, and appointing preferred sub-contractors. * Prepare contract documents. * Assessment of sub-contractor’s work valuation, issue payment certificates and make payment for sub-contractors. * Prepare final accounts for sub-contractors. * To be able to identify changes and to show the impact of cost/saving, suggest or discuss. * alternative solutions prior to the agreement of variations. * Prepare monthly cost analysis for construction cost expenses and report to Senior QS. * Programme - to be able to forecast works on monthly basis and ensure all works. * Work together with the Construction Buyer for materials sourcing and ordering.
