Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Structural repair specialist in the Insurance sector. Already leading specialist, the client has seen rapid growth over the last few years and are in a secure market which will be unaffected by any future market uncertainties. Working nationwide, the client specialises on bespoke, Structural and Civil Engineering insurance projects generally valued from £100k up to £500k and will be spec. The work can include retaining walls repairs/rebuilds, bank stabilisation etc. This new Contracts Manager role will be to oversee the Civil Engineering projects. You will receive the role from the Technical Manager who has Surveyed the project, agreed a budget. Your job is to now provide the delivery, this will include programming, procurement of plant and materials, site visits and ensuring the project is being delivered to program. It is essential that the Contracts Manager keeps a close eye on budgets and ensures the project is delivered with a margin of profit. The role will involve overseeing 2 to 3 projects at a time and as they are UK wide you must be prepared to travel to visit site. It is expected you will be out of the office and site visiting 3-4 days a week. It is expected that the successful candidate will have an excellent background in Civil Engineering and ideally structural repair. You should have previous experience of managing project delivery and of managing budgets. The package for this role will include a car allowance, death in service, 25 days holiday and pension.
