Yard Person

We're looking for an experienced Yard Person who will be responsible for keeping the depot yard clean, tidy and organised whilst maintaining the highest levels of health and safety. The post holder will require stock management experience, good knowledge of HSE and be able to work efficiently unsupervised. Hourly Rate - £14.22/hr + overtime available Based in Beckton, E6 7AB (Armada Way) The successful candidate will have; Background of working on an industrial site Operators CITB licence for using tele-handler Previous Stock Management experience Knowledge of construction materials used in highways would be beneficial Appropriate knowledge and application of HSE legislation Able to store the variety of products in a safe manner and secure Proven ability to prioritise own work to support business priorities Clean - Full UK Driver's LicenseYou would be responsible for; Overall management of the yard area of the depot ensuring it is clean, tidy and organised Raise orders for waste removal, skips, plant, materials, PPE and tools Undertake regular depot audits Monitor and maintain material stock levels to required levels ensuring adequate control Assist operatives with the loading and unloading of materials Control maintenance of servicing log sheet for all small plant and loader shovel Liaising with the central hire desk, ensure plant is hired / and off hired as appropriate Ensure Goods Received Notices (GRNs) are entered onto the appropriate finance system Managing waste and record keeping Accept, receive and load materials, including for winter maintenance activities Ensure that the depot compliance is maintained with the register updated and appropriate records maintainedAs an equal opportunities employer, should you require any reasonable adjustments to be made as part of the application process please contact us directly.
