Designer

Our client who are a specialist sub-contractor within the Curtain Walling and Building Envelope industry are looking to recruit a Designer or Senior Designer based at their offices in the Hants region. Candidates who are not locally based will have the option of working from home. Ideally you will have a solid background as a Designer within the Curtain Walling industry or similar and be familiar with Autocad. The Company Manufacture, Design and install and you will be involved with the design for the various Building Envelope Projects throughout the UK. Specific Duties : Produce Drawing Schedules, General Arrangement and Working drawings for approval, following the design procedure laid out. Design Review – revise and re-issue commented drawings. Identify resulting variations to tender if applicable. Attend Design Meetings as required throughout the design process. Produce Fabrication information in the form of schedules, cutting lists or component drawings, as required, to an agreed program. Visit Sites as necessary to ascertain conditions, carrying out basic surveying if required. Select external designer/structural engineers/consultants where relevant. Checking all elements to a project, including, Drawing Schedules, General Arrangement Drawings, Working Drawings and Fabrication information. Assist Contract/Project Managers with the production of accurate, realistic design programs for current or forthcoming projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a new design department that is looking to expand that can offer career progression. Candidates who are looking to work from home will be also be considered that are not local to the Hampshire offices. Excellent Salaries are on offer dependent upon relevant experience. In the region of £40-£60k + 25 days holiday + bank holidays
