Permanent Construction Project Manager Management Architect and Design

Job Description

Our client based close to Cambridge are looking for an experienced Engineering Surveyor to join their highly reputable team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that can offer stability and has a firm grasp on the industries working This role is highly important to the outcome of the project, as the plan for the suggested area will be built and submitted to the client based on the output of the Survey. The Surveyor will be responsible for the complete survey of the planned routes recording any proposed changes, accuracy of address lists and documentation of exceptions as required. All surveys will need to be completed in sufficient numbers to achieve the clients targets. The Surveyor will liaise frequently with the Project Manager and validation team. Responsibilities of the role will include (but not be limited to): • Verification of planned design • Gathering all necessary data • Highlighting of Traffic Management & Special Engineering requirements where applicable • Preparation of revised plan electronically and issue in timely manner • Liaise with Project Manager and validation team • Representing the business in a professional manner at all times • Undertake role in accordance with company values, policy and procedures ensuring work is undertaken to strict health & safety requirements Key skills required: • To have a good knowledge of civils and cabling activities within the telecommunications network • Learning new technologies to provide expert knowledge input on site analysis • Able to work with complex technical drawings • Good awareness of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance Procedures, Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Construction Design Management Regulations and Section 74 Regulations • Experience in surveying and detecting underground apparatus and/or working with overhead networks • Some prior Telecommunication Knowledge an advantage, especially in underground Cabling • Advance use of Microsoft office including word, outlook and excel • Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment • Able to manage own workload, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines • Customer focused, able to remain calm under pressure • Works to a high degree of accuracy with attention to the finer detail Personal Qualities: • Client Focused • Driven, ambitious • Excellent Communication Skills • Attention to detail To be considered for this position it is essential to have NRSWA and a full, UK driving license and highly advantageous S11 & S12 certifications. 48 hours per week, 25 days holiday per annum, Salary £Neg If you are interested in applying for the role please click the link or call Will Granger on the main office line for more information.
