Yard Foreman

Wernick Hire Bury St Edmunds depot are looking to recruit a yard foreman to run the yard and operations and ensure that the working environment is running smoothly, reporting to the Depot Manager, we require someone who is forward thinking, not scared of a good days hard work and is reliable, punctual and has a good sense of humour. The main duties of the role are as follows: To ensure effective working of all yard staff To liaise with Depot Manager on work in progress to ensure orders are completed on time To inspect cabins/buildings prior to delivery to ensure quality of workmanship To inspect cabins/buildings on return to depot and report damages or items missing To be constantly aware of material wastage To ensure safe loading and unloading of cabins/buildings and materials To maintain record of cabin/building door keys To ensure workshop and hire yard are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion Any other duties that may be agreed from time to time RESPONSIBILITIES To ensure security of workshop, hire yard and materials in stock.. Periodically carry out safety checks on lifting jacks, steps and ladders.
