Quantity Surveyor

Our client is a leading provider of specialised services to the marine, oil and gas and other high assurance industries worldwide. They are looking for Quantity Surveyors to be based in Preston, Cumbria or Malton. The ideal candidate will be responsible for - * Maintaining accurate and up to date Project claims records and subsequent related information * Applying contract clauses and principles regarding to the assessment and preparation of claims * Producing high quality, clear and concise written Contractor claims, assessments and related correspondence or advice * Providing claims identification, development, presentation support and resolution management to the Project team * Working with various departments to investigate possible claims as part of claim preparation * Liaising with Client representatives or other relevant third parties to review claims assessments and agree strategy for resolution * Providing support or advice for possible Mediation, Arbitration or any other proceedings * Providing strategic advice or recommending on existing and new claims, policies and procedures * Assisting the Project Management and staff to assess and manage risks * Educating and training relevant Project staff on claims issues and raising awareness levels across the Project as a whole You will need – * A BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent * 5 or more years’ experience with major contractors * A healthy track record of projects * To have NEC form of contract experience
