Enviromental/Pest Control Officer

Environmental /Pest Control Officer £13 per hour Ongoing Temporary contract - Solihull Van and Equipment Provided Environmental/Pest Control officer needed to work for a Housing Association in the Solihull area. Main Duties • Evaluating pest control situations by inspecting conditions; identifying new infestations and determining causes; analysing treatment, prevention, and exclusion options. • On a daily basis candidates will be; placing pest control materials such as poisons traps etc; conducting inspections; resolving customer dissatisfaction and carrying out minor property repairs to prevent infestations / re-infestations. • Graffiti cleaning and other environmentall officer duties You will be expected to: • Treat infestations of bed bugs, mice, rats, wasps, moths, squirrels and other common pests. • We also carry out specialist heat treatments and commercial and residential pigeon work including spiking, wiring and netting. As a pest control officer the role is likely to require you to take part in the following, • All aspects of day to day pest control • Specialist heat treatments • Specialist cleaning including biohazard • Contractual pest control Skills/Qualifications The successful Pest Control Officer will hold a: • Royal Society Public Health (RSPH) • The British Pest Control Association (BPCA) - Level 2 Certificate in Pest Management (or equivalent qualification) in order to provide holistic technical and consultative environmental solutions. You will be required to work independently, manage and prioritise your own workload and have the ability to drive company vehicles, you will be responsible for the safe-keeping of vehicles and for driving safely at all times.
