30 Cable Winders Required, Portland 5 Day Temporary Contract Job to start between 28th and 31st July 2020 Day Shift £9.00 to £13.50 DOS Night Shift £9.50 to £14.50 DOS TO APPLY call Vicky on (phone number removed) or email CV to We are seeking 15 DAY Shift Cable Winders and 15 NIGHT Shift Cable winders to carry out temporary job, which should last 5 days. The client will be running the shifts back to back (24 hours rotation shifts) so we need reliable candidates who will commit to completing the job. Day shift 08.00am until 20.00pm Night Shift 20.00pm until 08.00pm You will be unloading 250km of undersea cable from a ship to internal tanks. The role is very repetitive as you are stood in the tank passing the cable around to other teammates to coil it in the tanks. The cable is fed by pulling machines which on occasions can get caught and delay the process so it important you follow instructions and be prepare to wait around. The cables can vary in size, weight and as you can imagine if been under the seabed, can be dirty. The tanks are located in a large industrial unit and on occasion, you could be required to work on the actual ship docked. We advise that if you have a fear of heights this may not be the role for you. No experience is required, as you will be trained.
